Vancouver Canucks owner Francesco Aquilini joined the TEAM1040 Bro Jake Show Wednesday morning.
Aquilini spoke about the Trevor Linden hiring and the job his President has done so far to change the face of the organization.
"I have to tell you, I'm really impressed with his leadership so far," Aquilini said. "He's really brought some great people on board in Jim Benning and Willie Desjardins. You know, they really embody some of the qualities that make Trevor great - down to earth, hard-working, heart on their sleeve type of guys."
He is excited to get this season started and believes this team will make a push to the playoffs.
"I expect this team will be competitive. I think it's going to push for a playoff spot, and it's going to be exciting to watch. Once you're in the playoffs, anything can happen. Certain players can get hot and make a difference. You just never know. Especially being in a salary cap world, where everything is so even, just getting into the playoffs is a big deal."
Francesco won't be pursuing an NFL team, will focus all his energy on the Canucks.
